November is recognized across the United States as Native American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate and honor the histories, cultures, and enduring contributions of Native peoples.

At High Desert Education Service District, we take this opportunity to reflect on the rich traditions, knowledge, and resilience of the Native communities that have shaped our region and our nation.

To mark the occasion, Laurie Danzuka, Native American Success Coordinator for HDESD, has prepared a thoughtful and informative presentation (click link below to download):

Native American Heritage Month – 2025 Presentation

This engaging presentation includes a variety of resources and embedded videos highlighting Native voices, stories, and cultural perspectives. We invite you to take a few moments to view the presentation and explore the wealth of learning it offers.

Additionally, the day after Thanksgiving — Friday, November 28 — is recognized as Native American Heritage Day, a special time to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions and influence of Native peoples in our communities and beyond.
