For many families, schools are not just places for learning. They are trusted spaces for meals, connection, routine, and support. As we head into summer, we want to share a few community resources that can help families — and any of us — stay connected to support when it’s needed.
One important resource is our Family Access Network (FAN). FAN advocates are available year-round to work directly with students and families to help connect them to basic needs and services across Central Oregon. They work quietly and consistently to help remove barriers so students can stay healthy, connected, and ready to learn.
Sometimes a little help or a familiar connection can make all the difference.
Additional community resources include:
- Thrive Central Oregon – Drop-in support and resource navigation
- 211info – Help connecting to food, housing, childcare, healthcare, utility assistance, and more
- NeighborImpact – Food, housing, energy assistance, early childhood programs, and family support
Families can also continue reaching out to their local school districts for guidance, summer support and resource connections.
Some of local districts are also offering summer food programs, and summer school activities to support families.
