The High Desert Education Service District (HDESD) links school districts in Central Oregon to state and national education resources. Our programs help districts minimize duplication of services, preserve their local budgets and receive special programs that might otherwise be unavailable to them.

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the High Desert Education Service District, Deschutes County, State of Oregon, will be held on the 18th day of April 2023 at 5:30 P.M at 2804 SW Sixth Street, Redmond, Oregon 97756. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message; this is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 19th at 2804 SW Sixth Street, Redmond, Oregon 97756 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.

Former students served by the High Desert ESD may request their records. Records will remain confidentially filed until the age of 26 for the Central Oregon Regional Program and until the age of 22 for the Early Childhood Program, at which time they will be destroyed....

The Oregon School Boards Association, a member services organization based in Salem, founded “The Promise of Oregon” campaign in 2014 to focus attention on the accomplishments of Oregon’s kindergarten-14 students and the need to adequately fund public education.
What types of services do we provide?

Services for Children with Special Needs
We partner with local school districts to provide services to families and students who are at risk or have special educational needs.

School Improvement Services
We provide consultation, on-site and regional professional development, consortia, grant projects, and student programs.

Administrative Services
We support business, administrative and operational functions for HDESD and partner school districts. Other services are also available to support home and alternative learning.

Information Services
We offer a wide range of information technology and instructional support services to both HDESD and school district staff.
