ATTENTION: Effective January 1, 2014,
High Desert Driver Education, an approved ODOT provider, will be able to issue a course completion card that will waive the Class C drive test at DMV. Students must successfully complete the driver education program with a completion date after January 1st, 2014. Cards issued prior to that date, will not qualify for the waiver.
LA PINE STUDENTS: PLEASE REGISTER UNDER "SPRING REGISTRATION"
The High Desert Education Service District is home of the High Desert Drivers Education Program, which provides classroom and hands-on driving instruction to students in Central Oregon. The program is approved by the Oregon Department of Transportation and includes:
- 30 hours of classroom instruction
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
- 6 hours of in-car observation
