High Desert Education Service District News Item

The OregonVirtual Education Center, or ORVED, is a program developed and overseen by several Oregon school districts and education service districts. ORVED is a collaborative educational effort by public school agencies with the goal of offering high-quality,online courses to Oregon students.

Any Oregon student may take ORVED courses, subject to approval and placement by his/her local school. Students should contact the guidance counselor or principal of their local schools to gain access to ORVED courses. The first class offerings in Fall 2010 will be for high school students only. In future years,courses will be expanded to middle school and those about to enter high school.
