HDESD Seeks Four Candidates for Board Appointed Positions

High Desert Education Service District (HDESD) is seeking candidates interested in filling four appointed board positions. Applicants will be interviewed by the five elected board members and appointed to take office July 1, 2010, for up to a four year term. Applicants must reside within the boundaries of HDESD for at least one year prior to appointment and be electors within the HDESD. The following positions are open for appointment:

Business Community Representative – 1 position - Must be employed by a business or serve on the board of a local business within the HDESD.
Higher Education Representative – 1 position - Must be employed by public higher education or serve on the board of public higher education within the HDESD.
Social Services Representative – 1 position - Must be employed by a social service or serve on the board of a social service agency within the HDESD.
At-Large Representative – 1 position

Candidates may pick up an application packet at the High Desert Education Service District office or download a packet, website: www.hdesd.org. Applications must be received by the High Desert Education Service District no later than June 14, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
