AmeriCorps Member to serve Migrant Education and Plaza Comunitaria

The Migrant Education Program and the Plaza Comunitaria have been selected to receive an AmeriCorps member for the 2010-2011 school year.

The AmeriCorps member will serve as the Afterschool Program Coordinator for the Migrant Education Program and the Volunteer Coordinator for the Plaza Comunitaria. AmeriCorps provides members with an opportunity to address community needs by completing a year of service in the areas of health and human needs, public safety, disaster preparedness and response, education and the environment. The HDESD will be recruiting an AmeriCorps member by July 30, 2010.
