Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is free and open to all school personnel who work with kids. Attending may require supervisor permission. CPI is especially valuable for staff working with students who are a risk to be restrained or have potential to become physically out-of-control. The goal is to assist staff in developing tools and strategies to de-escalate behaviors and develop better understanding of the underlying causes. This training does meet the state standards.
