High Desert ESD employees who work at least 175 days a year and 18.75 hrs or more per week are eligible for dental, medical, pharmacy, vision, life and long term disability insurance. All staff members working 10 hrs per week are eligible for Section 125 with American Fidelity and 403b Retirement Savings Plan. For further information, contact the HR department, 541-693-5625.

American Fidelity

American Fidelity is the Flexible Spending Section 125 provider for Dependent Care Assistance Plan and the Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan. They can also provide you with accidental, cancer, short term disability and other coverage.

Carruth Compliance Consulting, Inc.

As a benefit to it’s employees, High Desert ESD contracts with Carruth Compliance Consulting to sponsor a supplemental, tax-advantaged, retirement saving program authorized by Section 403b of the Internal revenue Code. Such plans are often called 403b Plans or Tax Sheltered Annuity Plans or simply TSA plans.

Oregon Growth Saving Plan

OGSP is a tax-deferred saving plan authorized by Section 457 of the Internal revenue Code. commonly referred to as a deferred compensation plan, OGSP is administered by PERS and provides state of Oregon employees and some local government employees with a convenient way to save for retirement. It allows employees of an OGSP participating employer to contribute a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis. Contributions and earnings continue to grow tax-deferred until distribution. It is a great way to supplement your PERS retirement benefit.
